Woke up early today, to find the cat in a completely manic mood. She's zooming to and fro around the Flat, lunging at her toys and at furniture, and does not show her usual regard for humans (i.e. clawed me en passant several times).

Moral of the story: never wake up early?

update: It's 22:45. Cat still manic.

Current Mood: mystified
Current Music: Nurit Galron -- Bouree

Is she warbling, Tiggerlike? (warrawarrawarrawarra, and going around in circles, low-orbit around the flat?)

Could the change in weather be disturbing her?

she's still a young thing... ...but is SHE in heat? (when a female cat is in heat, and you scratch her back around the base of her tail, she makes it PERFECTLY plain that she, uh, wishes you were of her species and ready to mate. IF SHE IS IN HEAT SHE NEEDS TO BE CONTAINED - she'll be trying to fly out the keyhole!)

Hang in there! Catful life is fascinating!

Lucy will often pick a time of day to be totally manic, and stick with it for months. Usually it's early-ish in the morning. After tla and her cat moved out, we discovered precisely how much energy that cat had been burning for ours...Lucy was an unmitigated freak at 8am sharp.

Our cat is also an alien freak.
