Parking problems
Our landlord isn't into paying his parking fines. That's a pity, because today two official notices were posted on our door, warning us that if the fines remain unpaid, our Flat will be broken into and stuff would be confiscated.

Now we have the unpleasant chore of persuading our landlord to pay his fines, if we don't want our Flat broken into and our stuff confiscated. Ugh.

you should consult a lawyer, this can't be legal.

funny it's like the opposite version of the movie "Pacific Heights" (there the tenant abuses his landlords and ruins their flat) maybe that's the way to treat a crazy tenant who is not willing to leave your apartment (although i imagine this isn't the case....:-)

Better try and get back to the authority that issued those fines. Tell them they're barking at the wrong tree.

They will not care. I say - pay the fine and reduce it from your next rent.

What everyone said, plus make sure you have a copy of the rental contract handy. If you happen to be home when hotzlap people come, show it to them. Naturally preventive measures are much preferred.

You should send those who left you the notice, copies of your rent contract, along with copies of your IDs, and a letter asking for them to stop harassing you.

Dooms' day

Yesterday when I came back from work I found a very similar announcement on my door- only about our landlord not paying her "Arnona+water " bill in her other address, and they threatened to take my T.V (1260 NIS debt)-
Is this some kind of summer operation by the Tel Aviv Municipality?

did you consult a lawyer?

I had a similar problem- a person who used to live in my current appartment apparently has debts and i got a warning my appartment will be broken into etc. I went to the hozaa lapoal and declared this person was no longer living in that address, and that was it (i hope). i think you could do the same (unless the furniture are his?). in any case i would ask a lawyer what to do.
