So, it turns out that I am to spend the whole of next week in Luxembourg (of all places!), sent by my employer, with some software I've been working on, i.e. to watch it crash and burndemonstrate it.

Luxembourg. Luxembourg. Luxembourg? Luxembourg!

Any recommendations, warnings, plans and schemes involving Luxembourg would be most welcome.

Luxembourg is quite small, so be careful where you walk, or you might find yourself in Belgium, France, or Germany.

I met a luxembourger once. She told me she spoke luxembourgish. That's all. If you meet her say hi (you probably will , and that's not much "hi" to go around with).

Sounds like fun.. I hear Google is quite useful for finding nice places to visit there, plus I'm sure your hosts will be kind enough to show you around.

And I guess that means there's no meeting on Monday... Oh well... Being in Luxemburg sound like a good-enough excuse for me.

Well Luxembourg is indeed quite small, so I found out a few years ago when it was me, my 2 best friends and a car we rented..

Its a very rich country (call it kingdom? :P) therefore most places have very high costs - even comparing to the rest of Europe. On our 2 days there we moved around alot by foot - very small place again. Didnt find any good pubs we really like, only sorts of pick-up bars (just as they are in Tel Aviv). As to clubs - again we were disappointed, nothing too interesting, mostly strip-clubs, or expensive ones.

But for you, since you were sent by your employer, I imagine the best way would be to ask the locals. They will always know everything (especially in a small place like that).. For example - when we asked the locals about cheap hotels around we were sent to the, well how can I say it, hookers zone ;-)
