A beginning

I have never kept a journal before. Whenever I came across people who've been keeping journals all their lives, I marveled at the perseverance and commitment it must take to have kept it up all that time.

This Web journal will establish whether the networked age has made it easy enough to keep a journal that even *I* might regularly post my thoughts and plans online.

Although a first entry should have introductory qualities, I wouldn't know where to begin, so I refer the potential reader (who am I kidding?) to my home page, where I have put up some information and thoughts (almost all of them a little dated), until this journal gets going on its own.

Let it be noted that this is all the fault of avva and gaal. So there.
