My very first paper
In a few hours, I'll be handing in my very first university paper. It's for Prof. Perry's "Introduction to Prose" class -- I am to analyze the narrative technique of Hemingway's Hills Like White Elephants vs. chapter 13 of Judges, in the bible. If it sounds outlandish, wait till you read the paper.

Ah yes, reading the paper. Unfortunately, that requires my writing it. Writing is so abominably hard. Real horrorshow (how did Burgess do it so well?)

I'll post my paper (in Hebrew, alas) here tomorrow. Don't feel obliged to read it, but if you do, please tell me what you think. I appreciate honesty above all else.

Well, I was looking forward to reading it, right up to that part where it's in a language I don't know :(. Pout. Heck, I don't really know anything in its language family.

Ah, well. I'm sure it'll be lovely.

Get a hit of what it's about, if you'd like -- in English:

as I did last night, by reading both source works in English -- and better yet, available online :-D

here's the Hemingway: http://www.fti.uab.es/sgolden/docencia/hills.htm

and the Biblical chapter:

That's the order I read them in.
Very interesting in comparison!
