Neal Stephenson

Have you read Cryptonomicon? It should be somewhere in arnulf's library too. And of course Snow Crash. Nealy has a lot to say, and he says it beautifully, in my opinion. That said, I like science fiction better than history, even if it is well-told.

Both Cryptonomicon and Snow Crash have been in my library for quite some now, and I've received enough warm praise of both to be quite convinced to read them; I just haven't found the time yet...

oh, you don't have to read *snowcrash*

(Link)
It's only one of the best written books to have been published in the past 20 years, its style is giddy and ideas exciting, it's only a bunch of ink on a page...

...don't hurry. It'll still be there in five-ten decades. It's a long-laster, paradigm-blaster, book-for-forever sort of classic.

But you don't *have* to read it.

(sometimes, reverse psychology works better.)

...and keep an eye on my journal in the near future, wherein I will say something germane...

Diamond age!

How could you forget his nanotech adventure?! Our story begins with a simple window, made of diamond. Why not glass, you ask? Because diamond is cheaper, duh!
