Good Things About Today
1. Saddam was caught. Sic semper tyrannis.
2. My laptop, my only computer, is back from the shop, and seems to be cured.
3. Finished Dickens's fantastic Bleak House. Review to come (remind me if I forget!) when I find the time and concentration. I almost regret its being over, it is such a fabulous book. But I'm relieved, too, because it was no less time consuming than it was delightful. With that and the five-novel forced-march-pace reading ending last week, I hope to now be able to begin doing my Greek homework again, neglected this past month or more.
4. Brought my slippers from my parents'. I now sit at home, with slippers on, while a thunderstorm booms outside, and it's raining. Perfection.

Current Mood: pleased
